Welcome back to the Batcave, bat fans—another Build the Classic 1966 Batmobile episode is coming at you today on BrickScale Studio.
In Episode 51, we move to the other side of the car. Last episode we finished and installed the driver-side door, and today we begin the passenger-side door build with Fanhome Issues 101 and 102. We mount the upper and lower hinge arms on the right door, then add the right-side door handle and side trim piece—no glue needed. I also share a quick tip to help identify the correct hinge orientation: look for the flat side vs. the side with the small indent, and make sure the indent faces the correct direction so your upper and lower hinges don’t get swapped.
On the LEGO side, we continue the rear section by finishing up the turbine area and adding more trim (Steps 325–326). Since the LEGO build is clearly going to wrap up way before the scale model, I’m also starting to count the sub-steps as individual steps to help “stretch” the LEGO portion a bit—so we can keep the tandem build going as long as possible.
