Fanhome vs LEGO 1966 Batmobile 40: Steps 248–254 | Dashboard Trim, Compass, Side Hinges

Back in the Batcave for a slightly fiddly but fun dashboard session on the Classic 1966 Batmobile. On the scale‑model side we add the upper dashboard with tiny colored buttons, the homing receiver scope button, indicator light array, dashboard trim, and a working‑look compass assembly with bracket and stickers. On the LEGO side we build up the side structures with hinge elements, likely prepping for those iconic fins, plus door‑handle details.

What we built today

- Scale model (Issues 79–80): Upper dashboard, homing receiver scope button, triangular buttons, colored push‑fit buttons, indicator light base, dashboard trim, compass lens + compass + bracket, sticker set for controls

- LEGO (Steps 248–254): Side assemblies with hinge pieces, door handles, structural prep for fins
